Welcome to Downsville Elementary

Welcome to our school's website. Our school is located south of Menomonie on Highway 25 and is surrounded by the quiet town of Downsville and area farms. The community supports us by attending our special events, helping with our building projects, and volunteering.

Downsville Elementary School has a long history of learning. Students excel on the Wisconsin State Test because of their commitment to learning and the support of their parents and staff. We are small enough that we have many extra activities which includes many field trips and extra programs such as the Veterans' Day Program. Families donate their time and funds for many worthwhile projects.

If you are looking for an area steeped in history, you've found it in Downsville. Our roots go back to the logging days of Knapp, Stout & Company. The Company Store is still operational as a Coffee House and the old hotel still serves some of the best steaks around. We also have a local museum which is part of the Dunn County Historical Society and has many local artifacts. A county hiking trail runs through the town.

If you have any questions, please call or stop in for a visit. Our school hours are from 8:00am to 4:00pm. We would love to show you around!
